Below are the keynote speakers for the NWTF 2027 Conference.

Stefanie Gillmeier

Assistant Professor, Eindhoven University of Technology

Talk Title: From Atmospheric Boundary Layers to Real-World Impact: Experimental Wind Engineering at TU/e

Biography: Stefanie (Steffi) Gillmeier is an Assistant Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) with a background in Meteorology and a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Birmingham. Her research investigates heat, air, and mass transport in the urban environment, with a strong emphasis on experimental modelling and advancing wind-tunnel techniques to better reproduce real-world flow phenomena.

Her work addresses diverse wind-related challenges, including pollutant dispersion, urban comfort, the aerodynamics of vegetation and vehicles, wind-energy systems, and unsteady extreme flows. Steffi is Operational Manager of the TU/e Atmospheric Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel Facility and Chair of the Dutch-Flemish Wind Engineering Association.
